At funeral viewings, is there a particular custom in placing the casket/body for viewing? - custom caskets

Of all the visions funeral, I went, I saw the body / coffin is always arranged for the head of the deceased person left of the person who reads it.

(In other words, if you see the place in an open coffin, the head is on the left side and the feet, the private portion of the box are right.)

Is this only occasionally, or there are customs or rules for the funeral for the late show?
